3 months - 18 months
Play forms an integral part of the activities, as this is an important aspect of children’s play, which helps in many areas of their development and offers the opportunity for children to build on their communication and language skills.
18 months - 24 months
The babies are now walking independently and are more confident in their movement. This room has more space for the children to explore their new mobility, and avail the children of a home from home experience.
24 months - 30 months
Children in this room are encouraged to mark make, often wrongly described as doodling and scribbling. In actual fact, this is the child’s first step towards writing.
30 months - 36 months
Children in this room are able to create and act out their own narratives and expressions using the small world. This allows them to gain communication and language skills and can also encourage friendships by playing in small groups.
3 years - 5 years
Blue Room is our pre-school room for children agreed 3 - 5 years. The nursery continues to use the early learning goals to provide structure to activities and learning through play, whilst beginning to focus on the preparation for school.
The nursery encourages the sharing of information with parents both on a daily basis. Each key person is responsible for observing their key child, assessing their progress, and tracking their development through observations which are uploaded to EYLog, an online system where parents are able to access their child’s learning journey from home,
